Estimated Pool Returns (EPRs) for all wheat grades in the AWB 2007/08 National Pools are unchanged
following the fortnightly review of National Pool returns.
The 2007/08 EPR for benchmark APW grade for the AWB Number 1 National Pool remains at $418/t (FOB GST exclusive), the Number 2 National Pool APW remains at $399/t (FOB GST exclusive) and the Number 3 National Pool APW remains at $335/t (FOB GST exclusive).
AWB General Manager National Pool, David Johnson, said as the majority of wheat in the 2007/08 National Pool has been priced and allocated to international markets, the EPRs should remain fairly stable going forward despite softening in US wheat futures and a depreciation of the Australian dollar.
“International wheat prices remain firm because wheat quality continues to deteriorate in the Ukraine and there is also some concern regarding quality with the Russian wheat harvest,” Mr Johnson said.
The next pool update is scheduled for Monday 18th August 2008.
