AWB National Pool has reduced the 2006/07 and 2007/08 Estimated Pool Returns (EPRs) because of the continued appreciation of the Australian dollar against the US dollar over the last fortnight however the 2005/06 EPRs remain unchanged.
The benchmark APW grade 2005/06 EPR remains at $192 a tonne (FOB GST exclusive) and durum grade APDR at $235.50 a tonne (FOB GST exclusive).
The 2006/07 EPR have all been reduced by $3 a tonne across the board. The APW 2006/07 EPR is now $234.50 (FOB GST exclusive) a tonne and durum grade APDR is now $258 a tonne (FOB GST exclusive).
The 2007/08 EPRs forecast range has been reduced by $10 a tonne and as a result APW is now at $230 - $240 (FOB GST exclusive) and APDR durum at $235 - $245 (FOB GST exclusive).
Acting General Manager National Pool David Johnson said the reason for the reduction in the 2006/07 and 2007/08 EPR was the continued strengthening of the Australian dollar which affects all Australian exports.
