AWB’s 2009/10 estimated pool returns (EPRs) for wheat are steady this week, with benchmark APW grade wheat at $255 a tonne in the Eastern Pool and $250 a tonne in the Western Pool (FOB, excl GST). The exception is soft wheat which has been reduced by $5 a tonne.
AWB General Manager Commodities, Mitch Morison, said the majority of wheat grades in the AWB 2009/10 wheat pools remain unchanged as the international wheat prices remains stable as the southern hemisphere harvest progresses.
“While US wheat futures have risen recently the continued strength of the Australian dollar is offsetting the higher US wheat futures values,” Mr Morison said.
Estimated returns for AWB’s 2008/09 wheat pools remain unchanged, with APW wheat at $325 a tonne in the Western Pool and $330 a tonne in the Eastern Pool (FOB, excl GST).
