AWB (International) Limited will make its second distribution from the 2000/2001 National Pools on July 10.
National Pool General Manager for AWB (International) Sarah Scales said the strong premiums achieved by AWB for Australian wheat, and the weak Australian dollar, had kept Pool estimates strong in a falling world wheat market.
“The world’s biggest wheat exporter - the United States – continues to struggle to sell its surplus wheat stocks, and this is weighing heavily on the international market,” Ms Scales said.
“But AWB’s focus on delivering quality to customers, which was enhanced in 2000/2001 by the introduction of Golden Rewards, has seen our sales and shipping program progress on schedule.”
The second distribution of approximately $48/tonne FOB (GST excl) for APW takes the total revenue distributed from the 2000/2001 APW pool to approximately $79/tonne FOB, with around $145 FOB in equity remaining.
Growers who took the AWB National Pool Harvest Payment will have the distribution, minus costs for the quarter, credited against their loan balance on July 10.
Growers who delivered to the National Pool but did not receive the cash flow advantage of Harvest Payment will receive the distribution direct to their bank accounts.
