AWB Limited’s National Pool return estimates remain unchanged after today’s review of prices.
AWB (International) Limited General Manager Peter Geary said the market had rallied off new contract lows established last week.
“Wheat futures were oversold after funds built up historically large short positions. A combination of technical factors and the fact the we are moving into a traditionally volatile time of the year saw the market react with a rally last week,” Mr Geary said.
“Our marketing program has been progressing at a good pace and the outlook for last seasons crop from here on in is positive,” Mr Geary said.
The 2000/2001 National Pools remain unchanged, with the benchmark APW grade FOB price at $231 per tonne GST inclusive ($210 GST exclusive).
The new season pool estimate, announced last week by AWB Chief Executive, Andrew Lindberg, remains at $227 to $237 including GST (approximately $206-215 GST exclusive).
All estimates for the 1999/2000 pools remain unchanged.
Golden Rewards matrices reflecting current pool returns are available from AWB’s Grower Service Centre on 1800 054 433 or from AWB’s website at www.awb.com.au
