AWB (International) Limited will make its third distribution from the 2000/2001 National Pools on 9th October 2001.
AWB (International) Limited’s General Manager, Sarah Scales, said the strong premiums achieved by AWB for Australian wheat, and the effective foreign exchange management of the Australian dollar, had kept Pool estimates strong.
“The quarterly distributions reflect all sales revenue received in the September quarter from AWB’s wheat sales.
“AWB has received a significant percentage of sales revenue for most grades in the 2000/2001 marketing program, and this is reflected in this distribution.
“By focusing on security of supply and quality we are able to continue our strong sales program.
“AWB’s shipping program is progressing well and we are confident this will continue despite the current international situation in parts of the Middle East,” said Ms Scales.
The third distribution of approximately $39/tonne FOB (GST excl) for APW takes the total revenue distributed from the 2000/2001 APW pool to approximately $119/tonne FOB, with around $110 FOB in equity remaining.
Growers who took the AWB National Pool Harvest Payment will have the distribution, minus costs for the quarter, credited against their loan balance on 9th October 2001.
Growers who delivered to the National Pool but did not receive the cash flow advantage of Harvest Payment will receive the distribution direct to their bank accounts.
