AWB’s redeveloped website goes live today, offering internet users – particularly Australian wheat growers - a number of new and exciting benefits and services.
AWB Chief Executive Officer Mr Andrew Lindberg said the new website, located at www.awb.com.au, will meet the needs of Australian wheat growers, investors in AWB and the general community.
“This is an exciting development for AWB and Australian growers, with the new web site now providing online services to Australia’s 36,000 wheat growers, delivering access to information about their accounts, commodity and stock market prices, detailed weather maps, regional news and more, 24 hours a day,” said Mr Lindberg.
“The new site and its supporting infrastructure has been optimised for speed and performance to provide reliable access for all site users.
“Web pages on the new site have been developed to minimise down load time on slow connections to assist users in rural and regional Australia.
“The new website also allows growers to personalise their own home page with information like daily prices and weather forecasts for specific regions.
“This should save growers in remote areas some valuable time when connecting to the AWB site,” said Mr Lindberg.
Weather forecasts and details will be available on the new site, including national and state satellite maps, district forecasts, synoptic rainfall forecasts, weather watch reports and the southern oscillation index.
AWB daily wheat prices will be easily accessible, with Multi V, fixed grade, National Pool/Golden Rewards and cash at silo available for reference.
“AWB’s Growers’ Club has now become the Grower Services Area and has been redesigned to specially cater for individual grower needs. The Grower Services Area now offers specific information to growers on daily wheat prices, AWB financial products, individual account details and numerous market reports by simply logging in,” Mr Lindberg said.
AWB is continually developing the web site and in future growers will be able to make ticket, contract and pool equity enquires by logging on to the site. The robust infrastructure will ensure transactions are secure and connections to the site are correct and timely.
