AWB (International) Limited has extended the Guaranteed Pool Access in southern states to accommodate for this season’s late harvest.
AWB’s guaranteed pool access is an undertaking not to close pools until harvest is deemed substantially complete, with the access dates reflecting the expected finishing time for harvest in a port zone.
Following discussions with growers, National Pool access dates for port zones in South Australia, Western Australian and Victoria have all been pushed back, with pools now open throughout January and into February.
The guaranteed access dates for New South Wales farmers currently remain the same, as harvest progresses well for most parts of the state. Queensland’s winter harvest is finished, with guaranteed access to the National Pool closing in Brisbane this week.
AWB (International) Limited General Manager Sarah Scales said growers who were still unable to deliver by the revised dates had the option of taking out a deferred delivery contract with AWB Limited.
