Wheat growers who delivered to the 2000/2001 National Pool will receive their final distribution next week, with AWB (International) Limited (AWBI) today announcing the Pool’s final equity.
AWBI General Manager Sarah Scales said the payments would be made into grower’s bank accounts early next week, and would represent the closure of the 2000/01 National Pool.
For benchmark APW, the final base distribution will be $46.57 per tonne (GST exclusive), taking the final equity to $234.31/t.
“These returns are among the highest AWB has achieved on behalf of wheat growers who deliver to the National Pool, and are the result of another successful sales and marketing program,” Ms Scales said.
“AWB will be distributing more than $700 million to wheat growers in this final instalment, which will take the total distributed from the 2000/01 National Pool into rural and regional Australia to about $3.7 billion,” Ms Scales said.
The individual distribution amounts paid to each grower will vary according to final FOB Pool returns for each grade, Golden Rewards payments and the remaining storage, handling and transport costs applicable to each delivery site.
In announcing the final equities, Ms Scales said there had been a number of minor base rate changes from the previous Pool estimate, including $1.31/t increase for APW, a $0.39/t decrease for APH and a $0.20 increase for ADR1. More significant base rate changes were made to Soft, which increased by $3.90, and to ASWN, which decreased by $2.37/t.
Ms Scales said there had also been a number of refinements to Golden Rewards protein scales.
