Australian grain growers will now have simpler, more efficient and more advanced access to the services provided by AWB Limited, with the launch of AWB Access.
AWB Access is an improved way for growers to do business with AWB, replacing the old AWB registration number with a new single number and card that is linked with grain delivery, payment information and all AWB services.
All growers will receive a direct mailout on AWB Access in the coming week. Growers are not required to fill out any supplier detail forms, but have the opportunity to change or consolidate their details if they desire.
Prior to harvest, growers will be issued with a new AWB Access card (incorporating the new number), which will replace the current AWB card for every AWB grain delivery.
AWB Chief Executive Andrew Lindberg said through AWB Access growers were guaranteed proven performance, security of information and the timing and accuracy of payment.
“A core business task for AWB is the accuracy of payments made to growers for grain delivered to AWB – only through AWB Access are we able to continue to guarantee the payments will be made on time, and will be accurate,” Mr Lindberg said.
But Mr Lindberg said AWB Access was more than simply a delivery card, it was the key to doing business with AWB all year round, through which AWB could continue to offer innovative products and services to growers.
“For the past four years we have invested considerable resources in implementing an integrated business management system, and the latest phase is the grower payment module which includes AWB Access,” Mr Lindberg said.
“Growers have successfully used their AWB registration number to do business with AWB for more than twenty years – AWB Access will build on that performance history to improve efficiencies and meet the increasingly sophisticated needs of growers,” Mr Lindberg said.
AWB Access also provides easy access to grain marketing information, risk management and financial services, with 24 hour access to AWB products and services and grain payment status through the AWB website and Grower Service Centre.
“AWB Access will provide an important and simple avenue for growers to capitalise on the benefit of AWB’s increasing range of products and services,” Mr Lindberg said.
