AWB Limited today announced the appointment of Lachlan Benson and Jared Doyle to AWB’s Northern Region Grower Relations team.
AWB National Manager Grower Relations Peter Hargreaves said Lachlan and Jared will be responsible for addressing major issues impacting on AWB’s relationship with growers generally and their representative bodies in New South Wales and Queensland.
Lachlan Benson has been appointed Senior Advisor and will lead the Northern team.
"Lachlan has considerable experience in stakeholder liaison particularly within the challenging and often controversial area of grain logistics," said Mr Hargreaves.
"He was Senior Policy Officer, Ports and Freight in the Industry Reform Division of Transport NSW from November 2001 where he managed supply chain logistics issues, including ones concerning the grains industry.
"Before that he was Manager, Transport & Logistics and Infrastructure Group with Informa Australia, formerly Lloyd's of London Press for three years," said Mr Hargreaves.
Jared Doyle has been appointed to the position of Advisor, Grower Relations.
"For the past two years Jared has been Policy Advisor to the Leader of the National Party, NSW where he was heavily involved in policy development and media management," said Mr Hargreaves.
"Before joining the Office of the Leader, Jared was a research assistant with NSW Farmers Association. Jared’s family has a mixed farm property in the Quirindi district of NSW.
"We have selected the staff carefully after wide consultation, ensuring we have the right mix of experience and expertise with which to meet the continually evolving needs of growers," said Mr Hargreaves.
Lachlan and Jared will be based in Sydney.
