AWB Managing Director Andrew Lindberg today launched the new AWB Public Policy Website, as part of the company’s ongoing effort to improve communication with growers.
Mr Lindberg said the Public Policy Website addressed some of the key issues for AWB and the Australian wheat industry, and provided a one-stop-shop for growers and other interested stakeholders to access background detail, and AWB’s views, on various topics.
"This initiative is in response to requests from growers, through forums such as the AWB Grower Consultative Network, to improve the level of understanding of industry issues not simply with growers but with key decision makers in our Parliaments," Mr Lindberg said.
The site includes information and policy on the Single Desk for wheat exports, supply chain issues, trade reform, the introduction of Genetically Modified canola and a range of state-specific issues.
The Public Policy Website is accessible from the AWB home page www.awb.com.au.
