The awards, which were judged by the Victorian Government, Austrade, the Australian Industry Group, the Australian Institute of Export, the Victorian Employers’ Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Victorian Farmers Federation, highlighted AWB’s achievements in managing the wheat Single Desk.
In presenting the award for “Innovation Excellence” to AWB, the Victorian Minister for Manufacturing and Exports, Tim Holding said the award recognised AWB’s “success in value adding to Australia’s wheat exports, creating new export markets and increasing the return per tonne to wheat growers.”
