AWB National Pool has made no change to Estimated Pool Returns (EPRs), with the persistence of relatively unchanged market conditions during the past week.
For the 2004/05 AWB National Pool, benchmark APW remains at $197/t (FOB, GST exclusive), while APH is $216.50/t. For the 2003/04 AWB National Pool, APW remains at $228/t.
Values for US wheat futures have remained steady this week, although prices are still being weighed down by the massive world wheat production. The United States Department of Agriculture last week lifted its global production and use estimates slightly, following better that expected harvests in Canada and parts of Europe.
AWB has also introduced a new varietal pay grade, ASHP (Australian Soft High Protein) which will capture soft wheat with protein levels higher than those required for ASF1. The new pay grade will accept soft wheat varieties with protein levels between 9.5% and 11% protein, and no protein discounts or premiums will apply under Golden Rewards. ASHP has an EPR of $192/t.
The next Pool Update will be Monday 20th December 2004. The Pool Update following that will by Tuesday, 4th January 2005.
