AWB Harvest Finance today announced it will make a third payment to the majority of wheat growers who selected the AWB Advance Payment harvest finance product for the 2005/06 AWB No 1 National Pool.

The payment will be made this week to approximately 85% of growers who took the AWB Advance Payment product for the 2005/06 National Pool, providing growers with access to additional cash flow.

As previously reported, the 2005/06 National Pool was extended to enable AWB to best manage risk and supply throughout 2007.

The final Advance payment will be made upon Pool finalisation which is currently planned to occur in October 2007.

The third payment ranges between $2.75 - $35.20 (GST inclusive) depending on pay grade.  

AWB Head of Harvest Finance Cameron Whitehead said this payment will assist growers with cash flow, pending the ultimate finalisation of the 2005/06 National Pool in October.

“Having already made a top up payment to growers for most pay grades back in late January 2006, AWB Harvest Finance has already advanced a high percentage of funds against most pay grades,” Mr Whitehead said.

“Unfortunately in some instances we are unable to extend any further funds against specific 2005/06 pool deliveries such as where low protein wheat deliveries are involved, pending the ultimate finalisation of this pool.”
