AWB International has upgraded the classification of two wheat varieties and confirmed the classification of three other varieties following the evaluation of quality data by the AWB International Variety Classification Panel at their most recent meeting.
Carinya previously had temporary default classification in South Australia and this classification has been upgraded to Australian Hard (AH), whilst H46 has been upgraded to Australian Premium White (APW) in Western Australia.
Both varieties are commercialised by AGT Seeds.
Three varieties which had previously been released without final classification decisions now have had their classifications confirmed by the AWB International classification panel.
Derrimut which is commercialised by Crop Care Seed Technologies has an Australian Hard (AH) classification in both Victoria and South Australia. Gladius which was developed by Australian Grain Technologies and is commercialised by AGT Seeds also has an Australian Hard (AH) classification for South Australia. Jandaroi has received an Australian Durum (APDR) classification for Queensland, Northern New South Wales and South Australia and is commercialised by AWB Seeds.
