AWB International Limited announced today that it has completed the 2001 AWB National Pool performance report and it is available from the AWB website.
The performance report is from AWB (International) Limited and covers the 2001 National Pool which ran over the period January 2001 to July 2003.
General Manager AWB National Pool, Ms Sarah Scales, said she was pleased to announce that during the reporting period AWB (International) had managed the largest ever National Pool at approximately $5.4 billion.
“During the reporting period, AWB National Pool sold 17 million tonnes of wheat to customers in more than 45 countries and AWB was successful in achieving the highest ever pay grade returns to growers despite an extremely volatile international environment,” said Ms Scales.
“To improve transparency this performance report is the most comprehensive we have ever produced and includes an expanded and comprehensive commentary on the performance of the 2001 AWB National Pool and a major increase in the amount of financial detail.
“Financial details in the performance report include a full financial statement audited by Ernst & Young and a report on the Wheat Industry Benchmark by actuarial company Towers Perrin.
“The AWB 2001 National Pool performance report will be mailed to growers in late January 2004,” said Ms Scales.
