AWB Limited General Manager Financial Services, Mr Colin Taylor today announced the appointment of Mr Richard Herbst as the new Head of Landmark Finance and Insurance.

Mr Herbst was most recently employed by Rabobank International in New York as Executive Director, Corporate Client Risk Management

Mr Herbst has previously worked with Rabobank in London and National Australia Bank and Rural Finance Corporation in Australia.

“Richard has extensive agribusiness experience in derivative and associated risk products, credit analysis and assessment, product development and distribution, marketing, strategy and customer relationship management,” Mr Taylor said.

“Richard will be a valuable addition to the AWB / Landmark Senior Management Team and take responsibility for the continued growth of the Financial Services business across the national Landmark branch network.”

Richard has a Bachelor of Business in Agriculture Commerce from the University of New England and will commence on the 29 August 2007.

Background - AWB / Landmark Financial Services – Incorporates Landmark Financial Services and Harvest Finance and continues to build market share in lending and insurance services to the rural sector.  As of 31 March 2007 Landmark’s loan portfolio was over $2 billion and Harvest Finance had a market share of 66%.  Financial Services employs around 65 Rural Finance Managers, and an additional 30 Rural Finance Officers located throughout regional Australia.
